『コロナ禍』での慶早戦

Thank you for visiting our committee's website.

So far, we have delivered two articles about the history of the Keio-Waseda game, but this time we will change the theme and tell you about last year's Keio-Waseda game.

2020 was a year that was greatly affected by the new corona virus. A state of emergency was declared nationwide in April and May, during the spring league season, and the league games were postponed indefinitely. Athletes were also forced to refrain from practicing, and the situation remained uncertain. The autumn league match was also held under restrictions, and the maximum number of spectators and supporters were held in a completely different style from previous Keio and Waseda matches.

It's been a year with mixed feelings for us, as people who are in a position to support the Keio-Waseda games. I felt frustrated because I couldn't encourage everyone to cheer at the stadium, and I couldn't interact with the fans when the tickets for the support seats were sold or on the day of the event.

Under such circumstances, I wanted as many people as possible, including students, to know about the Keio-Waseda game, and I wanted them to enjoy the Keio-Waseda game even in places other than the stadium. did the activity. Therefore, I would like to introduce some of our activities.

On SNS, we introduced notable players and the schools they graduated from, and talked about the Keio-Waseda game and the cram school baseball club from various angles. I heard that members of our committee who are familiar with baseball spent a considerable amount of time creating it. Isn't it? Because I was making a call with an account different from the current one,#KeioYou can see it if you search for it.

On the other hand, the on-campus activities that we have been doing every year have become difficult. However, we wanted to let the few students who visit campus know about the Keio-Waseda game, so we created a poster that is more eye-catching than usual.

We posted different messages on the Hiyoshi Campus and the Mita Campus. It was created with a focus on the thoughts of new students and third-year students attending Mita Campus. I hope that you will feel the joy of being able to play and watch the match even in a harsh environment, and I would like you to turn your feelings toward the Keio Waseda match even a little.

We have carried out activities like this last year, and this year we are continuing to carry out activities that are full of ingenuity. If you have another chance, I would like to introduce you.

The Keio-Waseda Support Committee will continue to support the Keio-Waseda game according to the times and circumstances. We welcome your frank opinions. Thank you for your continued support.

Next time, I will tell you about the "apple incident" that has a great impact!
